Visual Comfort Afton Large Lantern Pendant, designed by Julie Neill for Visual Comfort, is a large-scale ceiling pendant formed in metal with an Aged Iron finish. The lantern’s architectural silhouette is intended for ambient lighting in kitchens, dining rooms and living areas where a statement focal point is required.
The design uses an exaggerated diamond/octahedral frame of thin metal rods to create a transparent, linear lantern. The geometric language is echoed in the small hexagonal ceiling canopy. This model is available in Aged Iron.
Constructed in metal with a textured Aged Iron finish, the pendant is supported by a rigid downrod suspension. The fixture weighs 4.5 kg and includes a 15.2 cm hexagonal canopy that mirrors the lantern's geometry.
The lantern accommodates six E14 candelabra lamp holders (60 W max per lamp) arranged to deliver multi-directional ambient light. The open-cage frame permits unobstructed light distribution, making it a good choice above dining tables, kitchen islands or as a living-room centrepiece.
