Vibia Big Pendant, designed by Lievore Altherr Molina for Vibia, is a hanging ceiling lamp conceived to give broad, uniform ambient light in interior spaces. The design pairs a large, low-profile disc with restrained detailing to create a calm, floating presence in a room.
The Big range interprets a minimalist disc form: a wide, ultra-slim illuminated surface encircled by a thin rim. The fixture is available with a chrome or matt white lacquer body and a white opal methacrylate diffuser, producing a clean, contemporary silhouette when suspended.
Construction combines a metallic-finished frame with an opal methacrylate lower diffuser that is slightly convex to aid even light dispersion. The design shows no visible external fasteners on the diffuser, contributing to a seamless, contemporary aesthetic.
The lamp provides a mix of direct and diffuse light with a uniform distribution; the opaque diffuser projects a greater proportion of light downwards while maintaining an even glow across the surface.
