The Tom Dixon Melt Pendant is a ceiling pendant from the Melt range by Tom Dixon. Its irregular, molten-glass silhouette is realised in semi‑metallised polycarbonate, creating a sculptural centrepiece for interior ambient lighting.
The design moves away from rigid geometry toward an organic, fluid form. The highly reflective, plated surface creates a dynamic visual that shifts with viewing angle and ambient light. The pendant is offered in copper, silver and gold plated finishes and includes a long 250cm clear suspension cable for flexible placement.
The shade is produced using blow moulding and vacuum metallisation applied to a polycarbonate body, giving the appearance of blown glass while remaining lightweight and durable. The fitting carries a CRI of 90 and is supplied with a three-year manufacturer warranty.
