Stilnovo Oxygen Surface Downlight
Stilnovo Oxygen Surface Downlight, designed by Pio e Tito Toso for the Oxygen range, is a minimal ceiling surface downlight that reads as a floating ring. The lamp's pared-back silhouette and engineered diffuser deliver soft, diffused illumination suited to interior ceilings.
The fixture's three-layered, slightly tapered shade is formed from horizontal tiers that give a contemporary, architectural profile. It is offered in Yellow/White, White, Black/White and Azure/White, allowing the ring to act as a subtle colour accent or a neutral ceiling feature.
Construction uses a polyurethane ring with a PMMA inner element equipped with Stilnovo's OptiLight technology. Laser micro-engravings within the PMMA redirect light from the top LED perimeter sources to produce a double emission that lights the floor and creates an aura emphasising the ceiling and the open section between ring and base.
Light is delivered as both a downward, diffused illumination for general and task-oriented use and a soft upward glow that balances the room's ambience. The bottom of the fitting is finished with a flat diffuser plate to maintain even light distribution and reduce glare.
The Oxygen is surface-mounted for direct installation onto flat ceilings, available in two sizes and dimmable via the DALI protocol. It is rated IP20 for indoor, dry locations and carries a two-year manufacturer warranty. The range was recognised with a Red Dot Award in 2017.
