Roger Pradier Hogar Outdoor Wall Light
Roger Pradier Hogar Outdoor Wall Light, designed by Stéphane Joyeux, is a contemporary exterior wall light crafted for architectural facades and entranceways. The design interprets a traditional lantern as a pared-back, open-frame form in aluminium and is intended to give clear, purposeful illumination to building exteriors.
The Hogar’s form is defined by a compact rectangular top housing over a slender, skeletal frame that creates a lantern silhouette while keeping the sides open. The fitting is 600mm high and is offered in a range of exterior-grade finishes to integrate with different façades.
Construction uses corrosion-resistant aluminium with a satin-finish PMMA diffuser protecting the light source. The product is Class I and built to robust exterior standards with IP65 ingress protection and IK10 impact resistance. Warranty cover includes 5 years technical support and a 25 year anti-corrosion guarantee.
Light is delivered by the integrated 26W LED module at 3000 K, softened by the satin PMMA diffuser. The open-frame sides allow unobstructed distribution and a defined downwards presence, making the Hogar suitable for ambient façade illumination, entrance and patio zones where architectural balance matters.
The Hogar mounts flush to a vertical wall and requires an earth connection in accordance with Class I installations. As an integrated LED product, it reduces ongoing lamp replacement and should be specified with typical exterior wiring practices in mind.
At Lighting Design Online we present the Hogar as a design-led choice for considered exteriors: clear in form, reliable in performance and backed by extended anti-corrosion protection. Our guidance focuses on achieving the right outcome for the façade or entry — practical project advice and reassurance on build quality help you specify with confidence.
