Foscarini Twiggy Pendant
The Foscarini Twiggy Pendant is a suspension light designed by Marc Sadler for Foscarini. Its linear, tapered drum silhouette is formed from a fibreglass-based composite with a liquid-coated matte surface and is intended for indoor ceiling-mounted use, providing both direct downward illumination and reflective up-light.
Twiggy's form is deliberately minimalist: a slightly tapered drum diffuser, open at the top and bottom, and a slim decorative rod that partly conceals the electrical cable to preserve a clean vertical profile. The example shown features a solid black, liquid-coated finish.
Internally the fitting uses a translucent polycarbonate upper disc and a polyprismatic PMMA lower disc to manage distribution and diffusion. The ceiling canopy combines a galvanised metal bracket with a matt white batch-dyed ABS cover; a canopy decentralisation kit is available.
Light is emitted downward through the open base for task-orientated illumination while the translucent upper disc reflects light upwards to soften the ceiling ambience. The fitting is supplied with a decorative rod and transparent cable; suspension length can be extended on request (height up to 10 m available).
