The Foscarini Plass Pendant is a suspension light designed by Luca Nichetto for Foscarini. Plass draws on the charm of traditional Venetian glass pearls, enlarged into an architectural pendant that brings a deliberately imperfect, tactile surface to interiors.
Formally the design uses three identical, elongated capsule shades arranged in a vertical stack. Each shade features dense vertical ribbing that creates a distinct architectural silhouette and a textured play of light and shadow when lit.
The shades are realised in translucent, Venetian-inspired glass with a smoked neutral tint; the ribbed surface and glass construction are key to the collection’s character. The translucency permits a soft reveal of internal components, contributing to the lamp’s crafted, honest aesthetic.
