Foscarini Caboche Pendant
The Foscarini Caboche Pendant, designed by Eliana Gerotto and Patricia Urquiola, reinterprets a classic refractive chandelier as a modern toroidal suspension. The result is a decorative ceiling pendant that transforms light into a controlled, sparkling composition.
Caboche Plus is formed from transparent PMMA spheres applied onto clear polycarbonate arches, creating a jewel-like ring with a highly transparent aesthetic. It is available in Grey and Clear appearance options.
The lamp body comprises two powder‑coated steel sheets which house a double-sided LED board installed on an aluminium disc that acts as a dissipator. A twist-lock system secures each sphere to the supporting arches, and a satin-finish PMMA diffuser protects the light source at the base.
Light is delivered by the integrated double-sided LED board and is softened by the satin-finish PMMA diffuser and a small opaline PMMA disc, giving an even, diffused glow. The dense arrangement of faceted spheres multiplies and refracts light to create a sparkling ambience while maintaining overall clarity and balance.
The pendant is suspended from a three-point steel cable system with a white ceiling canopy; the cables allow height adjustment and provide a floating presence. The fixture is rated IP20 for dry indoor environments. The MyLight version offers Bluetooth dimming via the Casambi app. An electric decentralisation kit is available and the product carries a one-year manufacturer warranty.
