David Hunt Lighting Hyde 24-Light Chandelier
The David Hunt Lighting Hyde 24-Light Chandelier is a multi-tier ceiling pendant from the Hyde collection, interpreting mid-century diabolo forms in a contemporary, sculptural composition. The design is intended as decorative indoor lighting for larger rooms where a strong central statement is required.
The chandelier is arranged across three symmetrical tiers with 12 hand-spun metal shades, each unit hosting an upward and downward lamp to create balanced, layered illumination. The shades are hand-sprayed in matt finishes including Arctic White, Pebble, Smoke Blue and Black, with bespoke colours available on request.
Construction centres on a solid brass framework with warm metalwork detailing, small brass rings that cinch the hourglass shades, an ivory braided cable and a matching ceiling rose. The interior of each shade has a reflective gold-toned finish to enhance light output.
The fitting provides 24 light points in total and delivers both upward and downward light for ambient and architectural emphasis. Bulbs are not supplied; the chandelier takes 24 x SES (E14) golf-ball bulbs (24 x 40W max SES GB) and we recommend LED golf-ball options such as the BUL-E14-LED-15. The fitting is dimmable when used with compatible dimmable lamps and a suitable dimmer.
This Hyde chandelier is made to order with an extended lead time of 10–14 days. It is supplied fully assembled and delivered on a pallet. Height is adjustable at installation (approx. 115–215cm). Nett weight is 8kg; fixing plate dimensions H2.5 x Ø10cm. Please note the packed fitting may not pass through entryways narrower than 65cm and adequate support and fixings are required for safe installation. A 1 year manufacturer warranty is provided.
At Lighting Design Online we guide the specification and installation for pieces like the Hyde so the design intent is realised without compromise. We offer practical advice on lamp choice, dimming compatibility and structural requirements to ensure a considered, high-quality outcome and project-ready delivery.
